If life is busy, hectic, full of things to do and time seems to slip through your fingers, it's time to pen in some time out into your diary. Timeout and Self Care must be priority in order to sustain energy levels and prevent burnout. Balance, balance, balance. I hear many people complaining about having no time over the past few weeks. The collective energy of the whole world is at high speed at the moment which can make us feel like we are on a super fast hamster wheel.
We all have 24 hours in our day so why have some people not got enough time?
When our heads are working overtime, we are always somewhere else, thinking about this evening, tomorrow or next year. Likewise, stuck in the past, mulling over various life events. The secret to having more time is getting grounded into the moment, becoming present in your body. Taking 15 minutes a day to sit and get present, by sitting with a candle lit in silence, chanting, praying, meditating, breathing. There are many ways to do it, you can choose what is right for you.
The Ego wants us to be important, busy and on high speed to avoid being present and allowing us to be whole, avoiding the shadow at every turn. The Soul wants to be still, to breath and relax the mind. If you read this and think you don't have 15 minutes a day to do nothing, you have kids, partners, jobs etc it's time to get real and honest and look at your priorities for your health and happiness. You can run and run and run but the truth is, you are running around in circles and your body keeps the score. Don't allow stress and strain to accumulate in the body, as the body will eventually stop you in your tracks.
Be kind, gentle and loving to yourself by making stillness a daily priority. Watch how your perception of time changes. You will have the time and energy to do what feeds your Soul.
